Only 8 kilometres from Sunny Sauble Beach is Oliphant – a perfect kiteboarding spot! With very shallow waters (only 3-5 feet in depth), it’s ideal for all skills levels - break out the boards and set up the sail! Crosswinds off Lake Huron and the wide-open space make it ideal. Looking to learn? The Sauble Beach Kite Surfing School offers lessons from May until October – give’em a call and get your feet wet!

Looking for a spectacular show? Visit the beach on a windy day and you’ll see the kiteboarders appear and begin gliding over the water or flipping through the air.

Off the coast of Oliphant, there are over 70 islands filled with amazing ecological diversity and First Nations history. Bruce Peninsula Boat Tours offers a glass bottom boat tour of the islands, providing a unique opportunity to see 2 of the 20 shipwrecks found here.
