The Fairy Lake Lookout in Southampton is a beautiful way to watch the busy creatures in the lake. You may spot swans, ducks, fish, turtles, and many types of water insects. Take a seat on the adirondack chairs and take a load off. Next, take a walk around the lake and across the road and you’ll find the Southampton Rotary Accessible Splash Pad! Located beside the funky Rotary Accessible Park, this splash pad opened in 2017 and has been cooling young ones off in the hot summer sun ever since. For the parents, there are benches, a shaded picnic shelter and nearby washrooms. Don’t forget the bathing suits as this will be a sure-fire hit on those warm sunny days!

While you’re in the area be sure to stop in downtown to visit some of the local shops or connect with Thorncrest Outfitters to rent a kayak, canoe or book a guided paddling tour on the Saugeen River. Find your inner time traveller as the Fairy Lake Lookout is just behind the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre.
