Clue: At 15 feet, he's bigger than any Herford in the fields!

Bigger than any steer you’ll find in the fields, this 15 foot giant is a perfect selfie partner! A symbol of Ontario’s best beef stands in the heart of Cattle Country just outside of Chelsey. Starting out his career visiting fall fairs and plowing matches all over Ontario, this sweet-faced titan is just waiting for you and the camera!

Whether you want to browse the day away in antique shops (check out Yesteryears Treasures, Metzgers and Dusty’s Attic) or opt for some pampering at Rowntree Health & Wellness Spa, downtown Chesley is just a quick trip away. If you’re a lover of architecture this is the spot for you! A short stroll of the main street, 1st Avenue, will offer glimpses of beautiful buildings rich in history from the Chesley Post Office, to the gorgeous Presbyterian Reformed and Lutheran churches. Widen your walk by a few blocks and visit the Krug Memorial Park and take a stroll down the meandering Saugeen River, take a seat on the bench and just enjoy the serenity.

Stop in for lunch or dinner at Babins Cookhouse downtown Chesley for some homemade and delicious meals! In the mood for a slice? You can find Side Street Pizza just off the main street, and here’s a tip – be sure to visit the left side of the building – there’s a French fry vending machine there!
