Did you know that the Gay Lea Teeswater Creamery is the oldest operating creamery in Ontario? 1875 saw the opening of this creamery, of course it was simply known as the Teeswater Creamery until Gay Lea bought it in 1981. Stop in and check out the Country Store, find some fresh local cheese and other goodies including home décor! Grab lunch from the store – new specials weekly and relax at the Teeswater Lion’s Park just across the river.

Fun Fact:

  • In 1875, they were able to produce about 71 lbs of butter a day from 120 cows

Hometown Pizza is right downtown with a wide variety of pizzas and toppings to try, and they have subs, salads and other delicious offerings. Just two concessions north, you’ll find Essentially Lavender a lavender farm filled with lush and lavish gardens, a labyrinth, an apiary, and lots of seating areas to relax throughout the property. Find the Lavender Boutique for lavender products like essential oil, balms, sprays, and bath salts.
