This year was full of few extra funny moments, but the one that stands out the most would have to be Aidans reaction to the Tower at the Visitors Centre in Tobermory Stop #1.
Aidan had NO FEAR of danger and giggled with delight as he ran up the tower steps. I on the other hand did not share his same delight and walked slowly up the stairs. As each new level came, I walked slower up the stairs; not because I was winded, but because I was growing more and more terrified the higher we got. As we neared the top Aidan turned around and looked and me and said, “Mommy why are you walking so slow?” I said.. “Oh I am just being safe!’ Aidan appeared to accept this answer until he burst into laughter and said, “No Mommy.. your silly. Your not being careful… your just scared!” Aidan did not stop laughing at me for 5 minutes. Eventually I burst out laughing because his laughter is contagious and although I did not admit it to him… I WAS TERRIFIED! Scared of heights… perhaps a little! lol
I am glad Aidan loved it so much… next time… he can do it alone!
