This is a common question asked when doing detour stops. If you follow the instructions, it normally takes us half the time. Though however if you have the elderly or young with you, it will probably take longer. I think that when they figure out the times it probably goes something along the lines of this.
We sighed as we set out to record yet another adventure stop for our dear adventurers. As we neared our starting point, I felt the familiar transformation take place once again. Unsurprised I began to walk towards our destination in our new turtle form. Trudging along, I thought it would have taken much less time if we were actually allowed to time this as humans. Once we reached our destination, we changed back into humans the clock stopping.
Or maybe they just double the time, but that isn’t as fun. Also you can cheat but that isn’t as fun. But when you’re hard pressed for time it’s necessary. Sometimes you can drive when you’re supposed to walk and last year all the GPS were for the box and not the clue. I don’t know if they fixed that this year though.
