I’ve been writing maniacally for hours trying to record every minute of our road trip while it was fresh in my mind. But it’s gotten to the point where I really need to just take a step back and breathe a little bit.
My name is Christin and I am the only Non-Huston on this little jaunt through Bruce County. It is July 22 now, but we started writing and compiling materials for a scrapbook as well as the blog element since last night. I decided to sleep over at the Hustons so we could get a jump start and while all of us were together we compiled a chart of all the key events that happened before, during, and after each punch we collected.
Funny quotes were typed hastily in phones throughout the trip; and at the request of my 3 best friends I have had to type many of my more embarrassing life moments and post them on the internet for who knows how many people to see. I personally would have glazed over some of my less than dignified moments… especially as it would seem that most of the moments of pure idiocy were entirely my own fault.
I am a 19 year old Canadian born and raised in Southwestern Ontario near S——–. I read Jane Eyre a while back and loved that all the places were written like that. And since I don’t want to divulge the whereabouts of my 3 gorgeous companions; I will steal the old fashioned Victorian custom of writing that way.
Lauren and Jessica are both the photographers of the group, and will surely be putting a variety of photos on this blog- flattering and unflattering alike. Erin is an exceptional writer who is very artistic in her writing; however she is a camp counselor in K——— and would not have the time to commit every infinitesimal memory into print within the next few days. And so readers… if there are any of you…. You have been stuck reading my accounts of various events throughout the road trip. I apologize now for my sometimes conversational, sometimes pretentious tone and hope you don’t absolutely hate me by the end of this.
Throughout this blog we will not only be posting lengthy accounts of amusing anecdotes. But also “Bios” written by each member of Erin and the Possums as well as playlists that were created by each person specifically for the trip. SO, without further ado- continue reading; or not as you see fit, and I hope you all find some humor in our 2 day escapade.
